Things That YOU Can Do:

In Class | After School | At Home | As a Student

In Class

  • Do your class work (REALLY DO THIS!)
  • Ask questions in your group or to Mr. Almeida
  • Carefully check your work and ask questions if you do not understand something
  • Help out people in your group
  • Participate in whole class or group discussions
  • Reread problems

After School
  • Come in after school for help (I am here almost everyday till 4 PM)
  • Redo quizzesyou have done poorly on
  • Do test corrections (available one week after test was given)
  • Ask other teachers for help

At Home

  • Do your homework (REALLY DO THIS!)
  • If you have trouble with a problem, write down some evidence that proves you tried the problem.   Think of some questions you have about the problem.   Ask those questions when we go over homework the next day.
  • Study for quizzes and tests.
  • Reread problems
  • Visit www.mralmeida.org

As a Student

  • Pay attention
  • Don't fall behind
  • Reread if you did not fully understand
  • Keep your notebook and folder organized
  • Be aware of what your grades are
  • Have high expectations of yourself
  • Be an active learner
